One of our favorite ways to worship God at Asbury is through the expression of song.  Music Director Lindsey Lang loves to explore a variety of styles of music - from classical to pop, jazz to gospel, even showtunes!  The best part about the music program here at Asbury is that excellent musical skills are not required in order to participate - a love of music and a positive attitude are the only things we want from our singers and musicians.  Learn more about our offerings below!

Chancel Choir

Come make some music with us! The Chancel Choir is always welcoming new singers. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm in the MSR. The chancel choir sings at the 9 am service each Sunday. Open to all adults age 18+.  Singers of every level are welcome!

Worship Team

The Worship Team is a small group of singers and instrumentalists that play at the 11 am contemporary service. While contemporary Christian music is performed most often, the Worship Team is equally at home performing lots of other music styles as well. This group is currently full, but please reach out to Director Lindsey Lang if you are interested in a future opening.

Bell Choir

Our handbell choir is open to all adults ages 18+.  We rehearse on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm in the balcony of the Sanctuary and present music once a month at the 9 am service.  Strong musicianship is not necessary to be a part of this ensemble - just a love of music and a willingness to learn!  Contact Bell Choir Director Sierra Richardson for more information.

Second Sunday Singers

Don't have time to commit to rehearsing with the choir every week but still want to sing? Join the Second Sunday Singers!  We sing 2nd Sundays of the month at the 11 am service.  We meet only twice a month: the Wednesday preceding second Sundays from 6:30-7:15 pm in the MSR, and at 10:30 am in the Sanctuary that following Sunday to run through the music for worship.  Contact Music Director Lindsey Lang for more information!
